A couple of times a week we have QuickBooks users contacting us either asking if there is an easy way to either update information on existing memorized transactions or if they can transfer existing memorized transactions to a new QuickBooks company file. Unfortunately, Intuit has not yet provided support for memorized transactions in the QuickBooks SDK so there is no way for developers to access this transaction type. However, we do have a workaround! Read more below.
Step 1: Use our Transaction Pro Exporter to export the most recent batch of memorized transactions to Excel. We have a variety of filters to help with with this which include date range, transaction number range, name, item and class.
Step 2 (Optional): If you need to update the data in these transactions you can open the file in Excel and change things such as the date or amounts etc. Or if the change is global across all transactions you can bypass this step and just provide these values as a static value in the Transaction Pro Importer mapping screen. Read more about how to use static values here. In addition if you need to add or remove transactions you can edit this in the Excel file.
Step 3: Use our Transaction Pro Importer on a recurring basis to create the new transactions in either the current QuickBooks company file or a new one.
We also offer a discount if you purchase the Transaction Pro Importer/Exporter bundle here.
