A very common question that we get asked is how do I increase my income accounts when there is no account field on an Estimate, Invoice or Sales Receipt Import?
What happens is QuickBooks Online does all of this accounting behind the scenes by looking at the account that is attached to the product or service that you use on the sales transaction in QuickBooks Online. You provide the product/service as a line item on the invoice. In the screen shot below you will see that the product/service is Cookie.
To see which account that this product/service will post to select the gear icon at the upper right of QuickBooks Online and under lists select Products and Services and find the product or service, Cookie. In the screen shot below you will see that the Income Account that will be used anytime that Cookie is entered as a product of service is Billable Expense Income.
